Stardubhe Presents Space-Ground Integrated Intelligent Communication-Computing Practices for Autonomous Systems at the First Space Computing Industry Development Forum 2026

On August 30, the First Space Computing Industry Development Forum 2026 was successfully held. Hosted by the China Computer Federation (CCF) and co-organized by Shanghai Future Industry Fund, Shanghai Future Qidian Community, Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the CCF Technical Committee on Fault-Tolerant Computing, and Nihao Space, the forum brought together representatives from industry, academia, and research across aerospace, computing, and communications to discuss the implementation of space computing technologies, ecosystem development, and pathways to large-scale application.

As a representative company in the field of space-ground integrated intelligent communication-computing, Stardubhe was invited to attend and delivered a keynote report titled "Application of Space-Ground Integrated Intelligent Communication-Computing in Autonomous Systems," sharing the company's technical exploration and engineering practices in satellite internet and space computing for autonomous systems.

Stardubhe noted that autonomous systems such as drones, unmanned ground vehicles, and unmanned surface vessels commonly face practical challenges when operating in the field, at sea, or in remote areas, including insufficient terrestrial network coverage, heavy pressure from massive sensor data transmission, and limited real-time decision-making capability. The Space-Ground Integrated Communication-Computing Solution leverages satellite communication links to connect the space, ground, and edge tiers, migrating some AI inference and data processing tasks to space nodes to realize a "data on the ground, computing in space" model, reducing backhaul bandwidth pressure and improving the response speed and reliability of autonomous systems in wide-area operations.

Stardubhe is conducting technical research and industrialization around lightweight intelligent satellite communication terminals for autonomous systems and the Spaceborne Intelligent Computing Payload, delivering products and solutions for scenarios such as inspection, emergency response, and remote monitoring, and driving space computing from a technical concept toward industry implementation.

At the forum, industry experts held in-depth exchanges on space computing infrastructure, on-orbit intelligence, and industrial chain collaboration. Stardubhe stated that it will continue to deepen industry-academia-research collaboration, improve the space-ground integrated communication-computing technology system for autonomous systems, and work with industry partners to support the high-quality development of China's commercial aerospace and autonomous systems industries.
